Three towers were erected in the area, two faces of each tower covered with subsurface mounted lcd's, each fed by Apple computers and tied into a local network. An audio and video recording station cut into one side of each tower is where attendees could record their thoughts and inspirations with control via touchscreen. The videos were then saved over the network and distributed to the playback displays on each of the towers. To further tie into the excitement of the TED conference, each frosted acrylic tower was lit from within in colors that automatically changed along with the conference themes. Muse was able to bring together a system of displays, computers, and show control software that worked with custom recording software designed and written by ESI to distribute videos after they were recorded, to change the lights when a conference theme changed, and require little to no interaction with area supervisors. A beautiful design and concept from ESI, brought to life by HB Stubbs, with technology tied together by Muse.
